Hey everyone, it is Drew, welcome to our recipe page. Today, I will show you a way to prepare a special dish, donair meat and sauce. One of my favorites food recipes. This time, I am going to make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

While the meat is baking, you have time to make your sauce and prepare your vegetables! Pack the spiced meat into a thick loaf shape, cover, and let rest in the refrigerator overnight. Donair and gyro wraps are similar; they're both traditionally a rotisserie type meat in a pita with a creamy sauce and some veggies. The primary difference is that donair uses a sweet and milky sauce whereas gyro wraps are served with Tzatziki sauce.

Donair meat and sauce is one of the most popular of current trending foods in the world. It is easy, it is quick, it tastes yummy. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. Donair meat and sauce is something which I have loved my whole life. They are nice and they look fantastic.

The ingredients needed to make Donair meat and sauce:
  1. Get Donair meat
  2. Prepare 1 lb Ground beef
  3. Prepare 1 tsp Salt
  4. Prepare 1 tbsp Flour
  5. Get 1 tsp Ground oregano
  6. Make ready 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  7. Make ready 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  8. Take 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  9. Get 1/2 tsp Pepper
  10. Make ready 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
  11. Take Donair Sauce
  12. Make ready 175 ml Sugar, more if desired
  13. Take 2 tsp Garlic powder
  14. Take 5 tsp White vinegar, roughly
  15. Take 1 can Milk

To make the donair sauce, mix together the evaporated milk, sugar and garlic powder in a medium bowl. Heat donair meat in a frying pan. Dip a pita bread in water and fry in frying pan to soften (this is VERY important). Place a generous amount of sauce on bread.

Instructions to make Donair meat and sauce:
  1. Mix all spices for meat well
  2. Add spice mix to meat a little at a time until ask spices are mixed into the meat well
  3. Move meat to a steel mixing bowl and knead well, roughly 20 to 30 times, make sure its thrown face down
  4. Once meat is pressed thoroughly into spices pat it into a loaf shapes on a cookie sheet/broiler pan
  5. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes and turn may over half way through
  6. Let meat cool and cut into strips after it is out if the oven
  7. Once cooked you can fry it from there to make it more crispy if desired
  8. Meanwhile for the sauce open up the can of milk and put it into a steel or glass bowl, do not use plastic because it won't mix properly
  9. Add in sugar and garlic powder and stir well
  10. Mix in vinegar 1 tsp at a time to ensure it mixes well
  11. Finished! Cover and refrigerate sauce until ready to eat. Add to pizzas or pita bread with onion, red peppers, and cheese
  12. Dandy feed!

Dip a pita bread in water and fry in frying pan to soften (this is VERY important). Place a generous amount of sauce on bread. Top with meat, chopped onions and tomatoes and finish off with lots more sauce. Top the pita with donair meat and remaining toppings as desired.
